Wire Fence, Kate Thomas
Brief Biography Kate Thomas studied BA painting and printmaking at Wimbledon School of Art and MA printmaking at Camberwell School of Art, graduating in 2000. Kate went on to be artist in residence at Intaglio Printmaker, London, where she concentrated on photo-etching and photography, and then artist in residence at Barnet College where she undertook a video production course. Kate has had seven solo shows and her participation in group shows in London include; The Mall Gallery, The National Theatre, The Barbican and the Curwen Gallery. She also has a painting in a permanent Government collection in Westminster and took part in an international digital art exhibition in Havana, Cuba. Current Work Through different mediums including collage and printmaking, Kate captures the lines and patterns that occur in the landscape; combining prints and photography to transform aspects of the environment.
